NSWRC  Reconciliation Week Resources June 2009

Community Education Resource: Rights, Respect, Reconciliation. This booklet has been produced by the NSW Reconciliation Council (NSWRC). Most of the content is based on resources produced by the Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC).

This resource can be used by teachers, students, Reconciliation Groups and other community groups to guide discussion and activities around reconciliation during Reconciliation Week or at any other time. The launch of this booklet marks the United Nations International Year of Reconciliation in 2009. The aim of this resource is to raise awareness and understanding of Indigenous rights in the international context, and the importance of recognising and protecting Indigenous rights in Australia to advance reconciliation.
