The Australian Medical Association is calling for a new approach to Indigenous health after what it describes as Governments' shameful failure to address Aboriginal disadvantage in the sector.
The association has released a federal election wish list and wants the Federal Government to invest $10 million over 10 years to involve non-government organisations in remote health service delivery.
The AMA's Territory president Paul Bauert says non-government organisations such as Oxfam and Save the Children have an international reputation for delivering health programs in partnership with communities.
