Kelso Community Network
 

Kelso Community Network is Indigenous and non-Indigenous people (Kelso is a suburb of Bathurst) working for reconciliation and:

  •  empowering people and the community
  •  strengthening family and neighbourhood relationships
  •  improving health, recreation, housing, education, training and employment opportunities
  •  providing a safe and secure environment for families, children and youth
  •  establishing support networks, resources and facilities to strengthen people and the community

Activities include:

  • Activities for children, youth and families e.g. BBQ’s, Excursions
  •  Cultural Awareness Camps for indigenous / non-indigenous children and youth.
  •  Participation in environmental regeneration programs
  •  Community development activities such as self help groups, focus groups, educational activities
  •  enabling life skills and work skills including participation in building local community facilities
  •  Mentoring and leadership training programs
